About the event
This is not your average workshop! You will learn EVERYTHING you need to know to open your very own coffee or tea shop with no previous experience necessary! Come away with the know-how, resources, and a step-by-step plan of action to launch and grow your own independent coffee shop business. We bring in industry experts in the fields of commercial real estate, commercial lending, funding for new small businesses, general contracting and specialty coffee/tea equipment and vendors to explain the process and to answer all of your questions. Over 3 full days (5 hours), students will receive hands-on barista training, detailed coffee business education, and coffee shop operations training. Students will learn everything from how to write a coffee shop business plan, to projecting start-up costs, to selecting equipment, to menu planning, to managing operations, to making drinks (lunch, snacks and of course coffee provided). All workshop participants will leave with a resource binder, templates and other materials to help you set standards and expectations in your building. *SEATING IS EXTREMELY LIMITED (ONLY 6 SEATS AVAILABLE PER SESSION) TO ENSURE AN OPTIMAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT!
